Field Commander C - the Songs of Leonard Cohen
Fieldcommander C. is a tribute to the great, Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and one of the most impressive Cohen live shows Germany has to offer.
I have enormous fun playing with this wonderful band at fantastic venues in Germany.
Cafehaustrio - Acoustic Lounge
The Cafehaustrio, also called CHT, has been dedicated to the interpretation of jazz, pop and own compositions since its foundation in 2004
Sven Götz ( guitar ) , Christian Sommerfeld ( bass ) and I deliberately focus on an acoustic, subtle jazz trio sound and play our program in a decidedly casual and relaxed style. Acoustic Lounge!
The CDs 'A Jazz Journey', 'Cruising' and 'Melange' have resulted from our many years of collaboration.
I am very happy to be friends with Sven and Christian and to be able to go such a long musical way together.
Double Tonic -A Celtic -Jazz Affair
The music of Double Tonic is the result of a long process. The project was created by the wonderful and talented singer Yvonne Arnitz and the outstanding jazz pianist and composer Wolfgang Klockewitz.
We have tried to combine two such different musical styles as traditional Celtic music with its traditional melodies, and modern pop/jazz with its improvisations.
The power and beauty of the original and contemporary pieces should not be lost. They should rather merge with the modern grooves and sounds, as well as some orchestral elements to a unity.
In this project I play not only the saxophone but also the flute and whistle. The music is very moving, has a pronounced depth and gives me personally goosebumps again and again.
Aus dieser Zusammenarbeit sind die Alben „No Frontiers“ und „Drops Of Celtic Life“ entstanden.

Gentle Horns
Quote from an announcement text of the band in 2017
"A journey back in time to the good old television world. Four jugs and a cauldron of color, that's the saxophonists, Gerd Pfeuffer (alto and soprano saxophone), Florian Wolpert (alto saxophone and flute), Alexander Kropp (tenor saxophone) and Klaus Buchner (baritone and soprano saxophone).
At the colorful cauldron sits drummer Andreas Nolte (drums and percussion).
The band line-up is unusual, but it works: In their program, the Gentle Horns, as the five of them call themselves, have given melodies from well-known TV shows such as "Magnum," "Dalli-Dalli," "Muppet Show," "Dallas" or "Der Schwarzwaldklinik" a new twist with unusual arrangements.
In addition, the quintet presents an entertaining retrospective of this time. Through comedic show interludes, this time comes alive again and the audience can revel in their own personal TV memories."
The Gentle Horns packed satire, wit, acting interludes into a musical entertainment program, I wrote many of the arrangements and we had a lot of fun and an enthusiastic audience at the performances.
Jazzchor Ettlingen
Den Jazzchor Ettlingen habe ich mit einer vierköpfigen Band von 2000 bis 2021 unter der Leitung von Wolfgang Klockewitz begleitet.
Wir haben den Chor bei seine Auftritten unterstützt und auch wunderbare Konzertreisen zusammen unternommen.
Es war mir eine große Freude mit diesen vielen tollen Menschen die hervorragenden Arrangements von Wolfgang Klockewitz umzusetzen.

Die Jacksons
Eine verrückte Truppe, die Hausband und Geburtshelfer des damals legendären Musikclubs `Radio Oriente´ in Karlsruhe war.
Wir hatten zahlreiche Auftritte mit unserem Funk und Soul-Coverprogramm und mächtig viel Spaß.
Ab und zu steigen wir aus unserer Gruft und lassen uns für einen Abend von unseren treuen Fans ordentlich feiern.
Das ist dann wie ein Klassentreffen.
Acoustic Avenue 7
Die Band Acoustic Avenue von Sebastian Schwarzbach und Alexander Nagel wurde mit drei Bläsern erweitert, daraus entstand Acoustic Avenue 7. Wir produzierten das Album „Walking In The Park“ und spielten Konzerte.
Einige Bläser Arrangements auf dem Album stammen aus meiner Feder. Ein Projekt, welches viel Spaß gemacht hat.
Elektrobert
Elektrobert war ein sehr innovatives Projekt mit Keyboard, zwei Drums, Bass, einer Sängerin, einem Rapper, Saxophon und Loops. Wir machten tolle Musik, die die Leute wirklich zum staunen gebracht hat. Ein paar Clubgigs und ein großes Festival waren auf unserer Liste. Für uns damals sehr junge Musiker war das ein umwerfender Motivationsschub.

Buchner & Bass
Ein Duo mit dem befreundeten Kontrabassisten Uwe Lehmann.
In dieser Besetzung haben wir oft in Bars gespielt und über mehrere Jahre im Sommer eine Bodensee-Tour mit Straßenmusik gemacht und uns damit als Studenten unseren Urlaub verdient.

Swiningpool
Eine mobile Band mit der wir sehr viele Veranstaltungen begleitet haben und aus der sich neue Konstellationen entwickelten.
Eat The Beat
Das war eine große Showband mit der wir über mehrere Monate einen steady gig in einem großen Club in Offenburg hatten. In dieser Band lernte ich viele phantastische Musiker und Musikerinnen kennen, mit denen ich teilweise heute noch zusammenarbeite.
Hornflakes
Ein interessantes Projekt von uns jungen und noch unerfahrenen Musikern in einer Besetzung mit drei Saxophonen, Bass und Schlagzeug
Wir haben viel experimentiert, außergewöhnliche Arrangements geschrieben und umgesetzt und viele Erfahrungen gesammelt.
Offensichtlich hat es Früchte getragen, denn alle aus der Band sind Profimusiker und Musikerinnen geworden.
Klaus Buchner Trio
Damit fing mein Berufsweg als Saxophonist an. Da gab es doch tatsächlich Menschen, die uns für unsere Musik Geld gegeben haben. Unfassbar! 🙂
